"Services" refers to the care programmes we offer, including residential care, companion care stays, and our evening programme. "User", "you", and "your" refer to any individual who accesses our website or uses our services. "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions together with any supplementary service agreements signed upon admission.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our website or services. You must be at least 18 years of age to enter into this agreement. By engaging our services on behalf of another person (such as a parent or relative), you confirm that you have the authority to do so.
3. Description of Services
Copperleaf provides elderly care services in Singapore, including full-time residential care, short-term companion care stays, and an evening programme. All services are subject to availability and suitability assessments conducted prior to admission or enrolment.
4. User Responsibilities
When using our website, you agree to provide accurate and truthful information in all forms and communications, use the website for lawful purposes only, refrain from submitting offensive, misleading, or harmful content, and respect the privacy and wellbeing of our staff, residents, and their families. When engaging our care services, families are expected to provide accurate health and personal information relevant to care planning, maintain open communication with our care team, comply with our visiting guidelines and house policies, and settle invoices within the agreed timeframes.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this website โ including text, images, design elements, and logos โ is the property of Copperleaf and is protected under Singapore's Copyright Act. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website for commercial purposes without our written consent. Limited, personal, non-commercial use (such as printing a page for your own reference) is permitted.
6. Payment Terms
Fees for our services are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and are payable in accordance with the billing schedule agreed upon at the time of admission or enrolment. Residential care is billed monthly in advance. Companion care stays are billed at the point of booking or upon check-in. The evening programme is billed monthly. We accept payment by bank transfer and cheque. Late payments may incur a reminder notice; persistent non-payment may result in a review of the service arrangement. Refund terms for early departure or cancellation are outlined in the individual service agreement signed at admission.
7. Service-Specific Terms
For residential care, a formal admission assessment is required before commencement. Care plans are developed in consultation with the resident and their family. For companion care stays, availability is subject to capacity and a minimum of 48 hours' notice is appreciated where possible. For the evening programme, enrolment is on a monthly basis and sessions are non-transferable. Copperleaf reserves the right to modify programme schedules with reasonable notice.
8. Disclaimers
Our services are provided on a best-efforts basis. While we strive to deliver the highest standard of care, we do not make any representations or warranties regarding specific health outcomes. Copperleaf is a care home, not a hospital; residents requiring acute medical treatment will be referred to the appropriate healthcare facilities. Information on our website is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute medical or professional advice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Singapore, Copperleaf shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or services. Our aggregate liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you during the three-month period preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Copperleaf, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of our website, or any inaccurate information provided by you in connection with our services.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate the care service arrangement by providing the notice period specified in the individual service agreement. Copperleaf may terminate services with reasonable notice if a resident's care needs exceed what we are able to provide safely, if there is a material breach of these terms or the service agreement, or if fees remain outstanding beyond the agreed grace period. Upon termination, outstanding fees remain payable and all obligations related to data protection survive.
12. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first to seek an informal resolution. If informal resolution is not successful, disputes shall be submitted to mediation before the Singapore Mediation Centre. If mediation is unsuccessful, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
13. General Provisions
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Copperleaf with respect to the use of our website and form part of the broader service agreement signed at admission. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver of that right. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without your consent in the event of a merger, acquisition, or restructuring.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via our website or by direct notification. Continued use of our website or services following such notification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
